The Chapel at Sinquetim was established during 1796-1819, by Fr. Marcelino de Noronha and his brother Mr. Jose Francisco de Noronha who were the villagers of Sinquetim. It was dedicated to Our Lady of Enfermos(the sick). This chapel was attached to their house. Later the maintenance of the chapel was entrusted to the Furtado family and in turn later it was handed to the local managing committee with some monetary fund. The first Mass was concelebrated in 1968 in this chapel. The chapel has been served by the chaplains of Telaulim. The feast of Our Lady is unique in the village, as during the novena as well as on the feast day, many bed-ridden people are brought to the chapel premises, and many of them  return home healed by Our Lady. The feast is celebrated on the Sunday before Ash Wednesday.
